The other day I posted a picture of some small cornices and seat cushions, that I had finished up in the workroom that day, on Facebook.
So today we installed them. I should have taken some before pictures but I forgot. The drapes were already there on a decorative rod that was a little out of date. So we took down the rod and rehung the drapes with the cornices over the top of them.
There was one small issue, that I hadn’t thought about, but it was easily solved. The small wooden decorative piece that hangs in front of the blinds to cover the ugly metal part, stuck out so the cornices wouldn’t lay flat against the wall. We solved it my cutting down the piece and hanging in between the cornices.
Close up of the cornices!
Once the cornices were installed the client then started thinking about new drapes underneath, to go with her new furniture!
While Mark was installing the cornice boxes, I installed the new seat cushions. Once again I should have taken a before picture. They had been a Christmas red velvet!
What a difference a fabric makes!
And of course when she looked over in the Dining area, the window there now needed some updating! So we discussed what would look good there also. We were thinking taupe faux silk drapes on a black decorative rod and to raise it higher. If we go with this plan I will try to get some before pictures!
Thanks for stopping by!
Would love to hear from you!
