Today was my last install until after Thanksgiving. I was a little anxious about it, but I usually am anxious about every install. This room was created by Holly Blumeyer of Holly Blumeyer Interiors. She carefully selected all the fabrics and we discussed several different designs from a double decorative rod with Print drapes and sheers to the final decision of the Asian influenced cornice and the sheer drapes with a soft roman shade for the door. When we first came to the sight to measure the walls there was an 80’s printed wallpaper with drapes on a rod that covered the entire wall even the door. They stacked back all on the right side of the window.
We used the same fabric for the Shade as the sheers for the window.
It softens the door and will give an idea of privacy at night. The backyard backs up to woods, so there is no real need for complete privacy.
The Cornice and sheers really added warmth and softness to the room.
A close up of the Cornice. Holly came to my workroom, to work out exactly where the pattern fell and how the design of the cornice would fit the print.
We also recovered the dining room seats in a coordinating fabric.
While we were there we rehung the pictures and finished off the room.
The homeowner will hopefully enjoy this beautiful room for the Holidays!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into some of the things I do in my workroom.
Once again!
