I looked back today at the posts I had written over the year and didn’t realize everything I had covered. Some were just showing you projects I had worked on, but others were showing you how to do your own projects or ways I do some things. Here are a few of my favorite!
One of my most interesting projects and stressful was the end tables that I redid the tops on. My how to is here.
Another project that was one of my largest and really different projects was the upholstered wall. Read about it here
I did a lot of slipcovers this year, and this was one of my more difficult ones, because of all the pattern matching and I also built new back cushions and showed you how I did it. Learn how to make back cushions here.
I went to Atlanta this year to an upholstery class to learn more about upholstery. This series of posts were some of my most popular. Here they are, Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5
This project I was able to do a couple of posts on. In one of them I showed you how to add inset trim to a cornice.
With this project I showed you how I worked with a client giving them options with the different renderings I can provide to show the client how the window will look with different treatments and different fabrics. Check it out here.
And Last but not least, I showed you how I made this headboard for my niece.
This year I have another king headboard to make very similar to this one, a couple of cornices, kitchen seat cushions, and a camper remodel and of course slipcovers lined up so far. So hopefully I will be able to show you some more interesting projects for the year I am also volunteering down in a St. Louis City after school program teaching young girls how to sew. I hope to get some pictures of them with their projects and hard at work. The past year has been a busy year, but I have still learned to do new things and expand myself, which I think is a good goal for everyone, no matter how young or old we are.
So thanks for stopping by and hope you come back!
